Groom your dog without them hating you

... because your dog now trusts you.

After working with several students who desperately needed their dog to accept brushing, bathing, nail trims and haircuts, I realized that they all needed this important step to achieve their goals. Their dog didn’t trust them. That’s why they couldn’t get their dog to participate even in the training sessions.

If you want dog training sessions to feel easy and relaxing, the Zen Zone is for you. Not only will you receive video lessons for 3 EASY TO FOLLOW training exercises, you’ll learn how to recognize subtle non consent cues, understand your dog’s body language, strategies to plan your training so it becomes a habit plus a clearly defined training structure so you can always have success all for a fraction of private training.

Here’s the thing, easier and stress free grooming doesn’t happen overnight, it takes time but even though it’s a slow process it will feel easy as long as you’re doing it correctly. That’s exactly why I created the Zen Zone, to help you have more successful training that leads to actual progress during real life grooming.

You just need an easy to follow process that shows you what to do even when you aren’t sure it’s working. (that is until a real life situation like a twig stuck in a tail or your dog has something in their mouth and for some reason, taking care of it felt a lot easier than ever before.)

You deserve to see an INCREASE in participation from your dog because you know exactly when your dog is consenting and when they are not so that you do not undo your training and damage the trust they have in you. You deserve to know exactly how to conduct your training sessions so that you and your dog understand the process.

Team Hazel

Before the Zen Zone...

After the Zen Zone...

Before implementing the Zen Zone, Delaney was struggling to train her dog Hazel to accept touching so she could trim her nails and give her a bath. She noticed her dog would go still and appear “calm” but knew she was actually just so scared, or Hazel would pull away and try to bite. Then Hazel would get frantic and so hyper, Delaney couldn’t get any more progress, it was like she kept getting stuck.

That’s when she got the Zen Zone — and everything changed (as you can see above!)

Instead of continuing to push through and keep doing what clearly wasn’t working (despite being told to try harder or use better treats) Delaney started following the training exercises inside the Zen Zone. Those exercises and the additional information and concepts really make it click for her and Hazel! Now even when Hazel needs a nail trim or a bath that they can’t skip, Delaney is confident that Hazel will have an easier time during and afterwards. She knows that any No Choice Event will not undo her progress!

This could be you!

PS: It’s not just Delaney and Hazel. I get messages like that ALL THE TIME from dog parents who have implemented the Zen Zone and trusted the process so they could reach their goals.

Just like you, all of these students struggled to see success while following the many how-to videos and tutorials online, until they found the Zen Zone. Now they’re seeing progress both in training AND real life grooming that they never would have before. Many students also report seeing a calmer dog IN GENERAL in other areas of life.

FAQ

  • How long does it take to see results?

This depends on a lot of factors but I suggest that students commit 3-5 weeks to this to build a solid foundation before moving on to teaching their dog to accept grooming tools and tolerate being touched. Those training sessions are like the school sessions but the Zen Zone is the very important orientation.

  • How often do I need to train my dog?

Students do really well when they train 4-5 days a week but the sessions are only 2 minutes each. There is a detailed video lesson that will walk you through creating your training planner on a calendar.

  • What supplies will I need?

Only a few things that you already *likely have. For the record, you will not need or use a clicker, so don’t worry about that. You will definitely need a rug, mat, or towel (goes on the floor of an open room where you will sit) for your dog to lay on. Again, there is a detailed video lesson to help you pick what will work best. *For anyone with physical disabilities, these exercises can still be taught on an elevated surface like your bed or even the kitchen table rather than the floor.
