Meet the speaker

Tara, KPA-CTP

Creator of the Fearless Grooming Program | Founder of Zen Dog

Tara combined her passion for training dogs ethically with her five years of grooming experience to create a solution for dog guardians who are struggling with cooperative care but for grooming tasks specifically.

Team Hazel

Delaney was a busy college student with a rescue bully breed named Hazel. Despite a packed schedule and her own hobbies with Hazel, Delaney achieved great results along her journey as a Zen Dog student. Before joining the Fearless Grooming Program, Hazel had to wear a muzzle for nail trimming and when Delaney tried to train her, Hazel just avoided the nail trimmers and wouldn't eat treats. Now she comes toward the Dremel for nail trims!

Team Mara

Andrea rescued Mara right off the streets of Mexico! She was running wild and free but was taken in at the right time into a great home with devoted guardians too. Andrea is a dog trainer herself but struggled to see progress with Mara for any basic grooming. Andrea saw progress quickly but was most happy to see that actual grooming became easier since they have a great plan and also some resilience built up for Mara. Yay Team Mara!

Team Nemi

Diana came to me with her rescue dog Nemi who was sensitive to feet handling and struggled with nail trims. Nemi was also a dog who was skeptical and stoic in training and would check out if it didn't feel right to her. In no time at all Diana was able to get to her paws using my signature Zen Zone and also the Touch Gradient that I teach my Tolerant Toenail students. In the end, Diana was able to trim Nemi's paws while she laid on the floor!
